LYN300 Problem

Twice in the last 10 days the following has happened on my 20 month old Easygates LYN300 double gate system.
Gates open normally, gate 1 followed by gate 2, but on closing (not set to auto close) gate 2 closes as normal but gate 1 does not move.
The only way I can get the gates to work normally again is to unlock the manual release on gate 1 and close by hand, re-lock and then the gates open and close as normal.
When this happened 10 days ago I hoped it was a one off but today same again.
What could cause this?

RE: LYN300 Problem

This could be caused by colder weather and the motor needing more force in colder conditions.

First thing to try is to turn up the force on the circuit board and see if this cures the problems.

Also double check you geometry of the brackets to make sure the brackets are installed correctly if not this will cause the arm to wear and eventually fail.

Geometry measurements for the LYN300 can be found at this link :

Fault has not repeated (YET!) since my original post. I have re set all the limits and turned up the force setting to 3/4 from just over 1/2.

I have just checked geometry and is as follows: A=12cm B=16cm
Motor is on the outer bracket hole, I have limits set so that gates open to I guess 95-100 degrees.

Does this sound Ok or should I change the position of the motor on the bracket from the outer hole to reduce the B measurement?

RE: LYN300 Problem

The Geometry you have given is within the chart for the LYN300 so should be fine.

If the system is working fine with the limits reset and the force adjust that may have been the problem

All has been ok since limit reset and force adjusted.

Thanks
